We are often asked how we got our unusal name;

When Dr Tash graduated from the University of Florida in 1983, she wanted to open her own practice. In 1984 she purchased Alachua Animal Hospital, which is now our clinic on S. Main St.  A new name was needed, so she asked her clients for their ideas.  One of her clients suggested taking the "Ala" from Alachua and her last name "Tash", putting the two together to make "Alatash".  In order to place first in the phone book an additional "A" was added at the front forming the new practices name "Aalatash"!
